Cabo Villas Partners with Kind Traveler to Support Corazón Flora

At Cabo Villas, we do more than plan incredible vacations for our guests. Specializing in Los Cabos travel for over 35 years, our deep-rooted connection in the region drives us to give back in meaningful ways to this community and make a positive impact. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Kind Traveler program, a groundbreaking initiative that unites 350+ destination, hotel, and charity partners across 25 countries. This collaboration enables travelers to leave a lasting positive impact in the destinations they love, and for us, that place is Cabo.

Our partnership with Kind Traveler directly benefits Corazón Flora, an organization that addresses a critical need in our community: caring for and finding homes for rescue dogs and cats.

Since 2016, Kind Traveler was the first to empower travelers to positively impact the communities they visit by giving back to local charities. With the 2023 launch of the Every Stay Gives Back community impact program, Kind Traveler takes its mission a step further by ensuring every guest stay funds local charities with participating partners. 100% of the funds raised are donated to participating charities.

The Mission of Corazón Flora

Los Cabos, with its spectacular beaches and world-famous tourist spots, also has many rural areas where unspayed and unneutered dogs and cats contribute to a growing stray population. These animals often struggle to survive, and Corazón Flora steps in to help find the care and homes they desperately need.

Corazón Flora is not just an animal rescue organization; it is a lifeline for the animals and the dedicated staff who work as independent rescuers. The program is headquartered on the grounds of the beautiful Flora Farms, a 25-acre organic working farm that is also home to a celebrated farm-to-table restaurant, boutique shops, and more. The organization coordinates events where potential adopters can meet these animals in person, creating opportunities for these pets to find loving homes. In addition, important vet care is offered for needy animals.

How You Can Help

Cabo Villas, in partnership with Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Gives Back program, supports Corazon Flora’s Animal Welfare Department. The mission of Corazon Flora’s Animal Welfare Department is to support animal rescue efforts and be vital to the local community’s well-being in San Jose del Cabo. Through our community impact program, $1 per night will fund Corazon Flora’s Animal Welfare Department. 100% of funds are given to Corazon Flora’s program.

As a Cabo Villas guest, you have the opportunity to directly support this vital program. With every reservation, a $1/night contribution will be made toward Corazón Flora. This small donation goes a long way in helping us care for and find homes for these animals. If you prefer not to participate, you can easily opt out of this additional donation.

• Reserve a stay at Cabo Villas in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico, where every stay gives back. Each stay includes a donation to Corazón Flora’s Animal Welfare Department.
• Reach out to their team in case you’re aware of a bee hive in need of relocation at your hotel or villa property.
• Attend one of their adoption events (2 to 3 Tuesdays per month), help them handle rescues, and share their stories with the public.
• Be a foster for a determined amount of time for one of their rescues (minimum 2 weeks to give them some stability)
• Be a flight escort and help give a ride to a rescue that has a family waiting for them in the US or Canada (all expenses will be paid by the adopting family).
• Cash donations during adoption events are also very welcome. Donors will use these donations to pay for the animals’ medical expenses and/or other basic care products.

Flight Escort Program

One of the unique aspects of Corazón Flora is the flight escort program. This initiative allows Cabo Villas guests to play a direct role in the rescue mission. Guests can sign up to escort a rescue pet on their return flights home to the U.S. or Canada. This simple yet impactful act helps ensure that more animals find their forever homes abroad.

Rescue animals can be flown to the U.S. or Canada, provided they meet travel guidelines. American, United, and Alaska Airlines are among the best commercial airlines for in-cabin travel with pets, while Alaska and American Airlines are preferred for pet cargo travel. Pet escort services are also available via semi-private jet charters with Aero.
