Luxury & Art in Cabo: Crystal’s Trip Report

Villa Sebastian, Cabo San Lucas

Recently, Crystal from our team had the chance to experience a wonderful getaway in Los Cabos with family. Here, she shares some highlights:

Where did you stay? What were some highlights / unique aspects of each property? Villa Sebastian – We started our vacation at the lovely Villa Sebastian. Our entire group loved this property! We took advantage of the chef services offered at Villa Sebastian and we were not disappointed. Chef Navo prepared an amazing plated fajita dinner with homemade salsas, tortillas and churros. I would highly recommend using Chef Navo to anyone staying at this villa (it is a great deal for in-villa chef services).

The outdoor areas at Villa Sebastian were very spacious and provided nice ocean views, as well as an outdoor shower. We were even able to spot a few breaching whales from the pool area. The indoor space at the villa was inviting and very comfortable.

Villa Vista del Mar in Los Cabos, Mexico

Villa Vista del Mar – The second part of our stay was at Villa Vista del Mar. The ocean views from this villa are gorgeous! We had amazing sunrises and enjoyed the lights of San José del Cabo at night.

We even got to enjoy a thunder and lightning show over the ocean one night. I love that Villa Vista del Mar is slow close to San José del Cabo and it only a short walk to the beach.

Cabo Sails tour to Land’s End in Cabo San Lucas

Did you do any activities and what did you enjoy most about them?

Cabo Sails Sunset Cruise – We took a lovely private sunset cruise with Cabo Sails that included great drinks and small bites. It started with a cruise by Cabo’s arch (“El Arco”) where we got some great shots. Captain Juan heard that there were whales in the area and took us on a mission to find them. While on our way, crew member Tomas ensured that we were all taken care of and he was a joy to be around. We then got to see the whales not too far from the boat and enjoyed the sunset on our way back to the marina. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

The Wirikuta Show

The Wirikuta Show – The Wirikuta Show is quite an unique experience, there is nothing else like it in Cabo. We all enjoyed the village and the storytelling. The performance was great, from the acrobatics, fire features and traditional dances (there really isn’t a bad seat in the house). The staff were all very nice and very accommodating!

Art Walk in San José del Cabo

Any new favorite discoveries in the area? The Art Walk in San José del Cabo was wonderful. I love San José del Cabo! The Art Walk takes place November through June on Thursday nights and is a must do. The streets absolutely come alive with color, lights, art and music. There are so many great stores with local arts and crafts as well as plenty of excellent dining options.

Dining at Don Sanchez in San José del Cabo

Don Sanchez Restaurant – We had dinner one night at the incredible Don Sanchez Restaurant. From the local musician playing his guitar to the décor, the ambiance was perfect! The lobster taco is a must have as well as the braised short ribs.
