Our Director of Marketing & Photographer, Robert Trama, shares some background on the publication of this excellent guide.

The Los Cabos Vacation Guide is an annual publication – how many Vacation Guides have been published? We just went to press with our thirteenth edition.

The vacation guide process entails months of preparation. What’s involved? The Los Cabos Vacation Guide design and production process is quite involved and time-consuming in every aspect. Every May, our marketing team heads to Cabo to shoot the cover, villa, resort and lifestyle photography that grace the guide’s pages. Next, we spend countless hours editing the photography, producing cover mock-ups and layouts. At the same time, we secure advertising spots, write the editorial, villa and resort descriptions, edit text and verify details. Next, all of guide’s content and photography is double checked for accuracy. The final stages involve comparing the printer’s color proofs side-by-side with our in-house proofs so adjustments can be made prior to going to press to guarantee optimal color in the final piece.
