Historic District Art Walk Season Opens in San José del Cabo

The annual Art Walk Season is underway in charming San José del Cabo. This seasonal event takes place every Thursday evening from November through June and allows visitors an excellent opportunity to experience the many captivating art galleries and boutiques that line the lovely streets of this historic town.
From 5pm-9pm on Thursdays, visitors can stroll the neighborhoods and enjoy special viewings at participating galleries. Exclusive events are often scheduled, including meetings with the artists, openings of new works and more. Sip wine, enjoy dining at the enchanting restaurants and admire breathtaking works of art spanning genres and media by local and international artists.

Participating Galleries include:
- La Dolce Art – Located in a historic building on the town square, this gallery inside La Dolce Restaurant showcases national and international artists.
- La Sacristia – This gallery boasts contemporary Mexican arts, ceramics, jewelry and traditional art forms.
- Patricia Mendoza Art Gallery – The works of some of Mexico’s leading contemporary artists are available at this gallery, including Javier Guadarrama, Lucille Wong, Joao Rodriguez, Eric Perez and others
- Corsica – Museum-quality fine art is available in this gallery representing over 50 artists.
- Mata Ortiz – Elegant hand-painted pottery is inspired by classical motifs of Mata Ortiz, a small village in Chihuahua with a vibrant tradition.
- Dharmesh Anand – Here you’ll find vibrant paintings blending Buddhist motifs and modern abstraction.
- Casa Dahlia – Works by contemporary fine artists of Baja are featured in one of the most historic buildings in Los Cabos.
- El Armario – Whimsical Mexican folk art and coffee have made this spot known as “the cutest shop in town.”
- Muvezi African Art – Browse a captivating selection of Shona stone sculptures from Zimbabwe.
- Ivan Guaderrama – Contemporary art is showcased in painting, glasswork and metal.
- Old Town – In the heart of the historic Art Distric, this gallery brings together the works of a seasoned group of world renowned artists.
- Ida Victoria – A range of styles and media are featured in this beautiful gallery space with works by international and Mexican artists.
- El Lunario – Artwork includes modern abstract paintings, mixed media, photography and sculptures.
- Intagrafia – Graphic arts, letterpress printing and engraving are the specialities of this workshop/gallery.
- Arte by Julian Garcia – metal sculptures encompass a range of natural organic forms.
- Frank Arnold Art Gallery – Bold abstraction, strong color forms and textural painting are the hallmarks of this artists’s creations.
