Mantas & More: Diving at Socorro Island, Baja Sur

Located approximately 240 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas in the Pacific Ocean, the Revillagigedo Islands are a mecca for scuba diving enthusiasts. This group of 4 islands (San Benedicto, Socorro, Roca Partida and Clarión Islands) has been called the “Galapagos of Mexico” for the astonishing abundance of marine life surrounding them. One of the most popular spots for divers is known as “The Boiler.” This submerged seamount serves as a much-visited cleaning station for many large pelagic species including giant manta rays. Recently, CaboVillas.com President, Don Hirschaut and CFO, Michelle Hoffman, had the opportunity to revisit these pristine islands for an incredible live-aboard diving experience with the outstanding team of Nautilus Diving, which offers tours departing from the Cabo San Lucas marina.
