Sand under the Arch! El Arco Beach Appears Again in Cabo San Lucas
From time to time (sometimes years may go by between appearances), a sandy beach is unveiled under the natural stone arch at Land’s End in Cabo San Lucas. This spot marks the meeting of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez at the tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. Different marine conditions affect the unveiling of the sand under the arch, including tides and seasonal currents. Seeing the sight of the beautiful beach at this iconic spot is truly unforgettable and glimpses can be had aboard a cruise or panga ride. Cabo Sails is an excellent local tour provider offering cruises in this area. The arch is located in the…

Newly Protected Area at Pelican Rock / Lover’s Beach in Cabo San Lucas Bay
Our friends at Cabo Sails report that buoys have been set up around Pelican Rock in Cabo San Lucas Bay as part of the National Marine Park effort to protect this precious marine habitat from motorized boats. Placement of the buoys originally began in November, but now the buoys completely prevent access by motorized boats in the area between Lover’s Beach and Pelican Rock. Buoys also extended from Pelican Rock along the Lover’s Beach shoreline. This will help preserve a beautiful and pristine marine ecosystem. According to the Cabo Sails team, “They have designated an area where the water taxis drop people off and pick them up at Lover’s Beach but they…

Where To Vacation Swimmingly in Cabo
While Cabo’s all about that winning combination of golden beaches and the impossibly turquoise sea, many visitors are surprised to know that a lot of the Los Cabos coastline simply isn’t recommended for swimming. Due to the confluence of the waters of the mighty Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez, strong undertows and unpredictable waves make it wiser to play it safe and admire the ocean views from your resort’s pool. However, there are a few wonderful spots where gentle beaches invite you to take a dip and play in some of the world’s most pristine waters. Here are our some of our top picks of resorts and villas on…
